Punam Denley

Partner


Punam has been qualified for longer than she would care to admit. Testimonials on this website and Google reviews tell you what you need to know about her work ethic and values. Client satisfaction and personal pride in the quality of her work, as well as her dogs, are what get her out of bed in the morning.

Her cases have been reported many times in the Legal Press, the most recent being the success in the Court of Appeal in the case of Giusti v Ferragamo [2019] EWCA Civ 691. Punam successfully acted for the respondent in a High Court appeal regarding a civil restraining order in the anonymised case of [2020] EWHC 3542 (Fam).

Helen Habershon

Partner


Helen has specialised in family law for over 20 years.  She has extensive experience in complex and high profile financial cases and children matters.  Having worked in London where she represented the Central Authority in child abduction cases through the Hague Convention she has a particular interest in cross border children cases including those involving leave to remove children from the jurisdiction of England and Wales.

Helen has recently joined Blanchards from a top Legal 500 practice in Surrey where she was described as a ‘Dynamic solicitor who deals with complex cases and is solicitor to note’ by the Legal 500. Helen regularly writes for law journals and has featured in the national press. She is a member of Resolution and adopts a conciliatory approach to resolving cases for her clients and supports the charity ‘Reunite’.

Helen is a dog lover and enjoys walking her dog with her family.

Susan Andrews

Senior Solicitor


Sue knew she wanted to be a lawyer from an early age, and was drawn to family law as a way to help clients through difficult, life-changing, processes like divorce
and separation.

She has been ranked as a tier 1 lawyer in the Chambers Directory and a leading lawyer in Legal 500 for many years. A very large number of positive testimonials is the clearest demonstration of her clients’ satisfaction. It is also noteworthy that many clients find her through personal referrals.

Sue’s main area of focus is high net worth, and she often deals with complex matters involving overseas assets, trust arrangements, business interests and / or large property portfolios. She has extensive experience representing HNWIs at the end or beginning of relationships, drafting nuptial or cohabitation agreements.

Sue prides herself on taking an empathic, pragmatic approach, which has proved invaluable when dealing with neurodiversity, coercive control, domestic abuse, and
emotionally charged situations. She has been involved in many widely reported cases which are still relied upon
today. These include the Court of Appeal decisions in Dorney- Kingdon v Dorney- Kingdom [2000] 2 FLR 855, and Waggott v Waggott [2018]EWCA civ 727.

Christine Plews

Consultant & Mediator


Christine is a qualified solicitor with more-than 30 years of experience in family law. She is a highly ranked Family Mediation Council (FMC) Accredited Mediator, and was noted as a Senior States person in the Family Law field in the 2023 and 2024 legal directories.

She also holds a psychodynamic psychotherapy qualification from Oxford University, enabling her to help clients navigate the trickiest areas of their separation.

Delivered via the mediation process, Christine handles financial mediations following a divorce or separation, including where there are significant Trust or business assets, and for HNWI.

She also handles parenting and children mediations, having become a Child Inclusive Mediator.Christine is a Trustee at The Mint House, Oxford centre for Restorative Justice and is trained to deliver restorative justice training. She is a diversity champion and is on the ED&I panel for the Family Mediators Association.

Juliet Gordon

Senior Solicitor


Juliet has specialised in family law since she qualified as a solicitor in 2018. She offers experience in dealing with the full range of family issues including divorce, children and financial issues. Juliet is a member of Resolution, the leading membership organisation for specialist family lawyers in England and Wales. She therefore takes an empathetic, practical and constructive approach to resolving family issues. Juliet is also a member of the Thames Valley Family lawyers Society.

Recent work highlights have included representing clients in relation to international child relocation disputes and acting for clients in relation to financial remedy proceedings who have high value assets and multiple business interests. She enjoys researching the latest developments in family law and writes articles for the firm’s blog.

Outside of work, Juliet spends her spare time with family and friends, cycling, hiking or kayaking.

Emmaleen Muldoon

Barrister


Emmaleen is a dual-qualified English barrister/US attorney, who was called to the English Bar in 2006 and qualified as a New York attorney in 2014. Her love of helping people through difficult family times is why she wanted to practice in family law. Her areas of expertise include: financial remedy cases arising from divorce or dissolution, TOLATA applications involving cohabiting couples, Family Law Act injunctions and child arrangements. Emmaleen also deals with our large caseload of pet custody disputes. She has also had extensive experience of civil disputes which is a huge help to our clients.

Previously she worked for at the independent bar, conducting her own trials, applications, and hearings before spending time in the United States working in law firms in New York City and Charlotte, North Carolina.

Outside of work, Emmaleen enjoys running, exploring the British countryside and history.

Lisa McKay

Senior Paralegal


Lisa is an Ilex trained paralegal with a wealth of knowledge and 21 years’ of experience within the law. She has a soft spot for Children related matters, as a mother to a young daughter. Lisa can relate to family life and prides herself in her ability to approach these matters in a child focused way. Lisa is very approachable, understanding and a reassuring support for clients.

Aishling Hageman-Rowe

Isla Currie

Isla joined Blanchards Law in June 2023 and is currently working towards becoming a Barrister and dual qualifying as a Solicitor Advocate. Isla was called to the Bar in October 2022 having successfully completed the Bar Practice Course earlier that year.

Throughout her time in education and working in a legal environment, Isla has developed a real love for advocacy, particularly within the family law setting. Isla prides herself in being able to understand and empathise with clients and the circumstances they find themselves in.

In October 2023, Isla qualified as an accredited Mediator and can now offer this service at Blanchards Law. Isla is a crucial member of our pet custody team and is well versed to offer mediation in pet custody disputes.

In her spare time, Isla enjoys spending time with her two dogs, three horses and two guinea-pigs.

Claudia Gonzales

Paralegal


Claudia joined Blanchards Law in October 2023 after working for an accounting firm and spending three months travelling.  She is a part-qualified chartered accountant and is working towards finishing her accreditation. Claudia has an interest in complex financial family matters and is often involved in pet custody disputes.  Outside of work, she enjoys running, travelling, and trying new restaurants.”

Holly Stapleton

Holly joined Blanchards Law in May 2024 and has been working as a family paralegal since September 2023 upon gaining a Law degree from Oxford University. Holly’s goal is to become a solicitor, and she has a particular interest in complex children matters. She is passionate about her current work on pet custody disputes.

Holly prides herself in providing a compassionate and friendly service to clients. In her spare time, Holly enjoys camping with her dog Rufus.

Love Lyskova

HR Operations & Practice Manager


Love joined Blanchards December 2023 and quickly established herself as the go-to person and a right-hand woman to the management team. She makes sure that everyone has exactly the support they need and keeps the business ticking along on a day-to-day basis.

The UK is a relatively new professional stage for Love, having lived most of her life in the United Arab Emirates. There, Love facilitated opening of three companies, which are operational to this day has and established a very successful career as a highly regarded professional in her field. She managed to maintain a good relationship with all previous employers, who would still reach out from time to time, asking for her opinion and advice.

Love continuously works on refining her professional acumen and developing new skills. At the moment she is working on obtaining CIPD level 7. Coming from a different country and sector, Love brings new ideas and sees things from a different perspective. Love takes care of the HR and operational side of things, so that the team can focus on their main duties and makes sure that people feel comfortable approaching her about anything and that the office environment is a positive one.

When not at work, Love enjoys staying in with her two Pomeranians and a good book.

Paige Reed

HR Administrator


Paige joined Blanchards Law in June 2023 as an Admin assistant. She has proved to be an essential and integral part of the team, and has now transitioned to a full time role working alongside Love Lyskova as an HR Administrator.

Having graduated from University in June 2024, with a History Degree, Paige is an invaluable support to the team at Blanchards Law.

During her free time, Paige enjoys taking part in dance classes, relaxing with a good book and taking her dog on walks.

Leigh Holden

Legal Secretary


Leigh has worked in law firms since studying Business Administration at college, first as a Legal Secretary, then moving through the ranks to Practice Manager.  Since becoming a Mum Leigh has reverted to her first love of dealing with family matters, assisting clients in resolving their disputes so that they may look to the future.  Leigh’s strong organisation skills and gentle manner are valued and key to the efficient service offer our clients in seeing their matter through to a conclusion.

Norberto Ruiz Guerrero

Abogado


Norberto provides legal assistance particularly to visitors in the Costa del Sol helping them establish businesses, in sales and acquisition, title, land use, litigation, non-resident income tax, heritages, expenses and taxes associated with sale. He assisted Blanchards Law in establishing our office in Spain.

Graduating in 2002 he has worked as a police officer in the Policia Nacional for 16 years and now also as lawyer for 9 years. He is established in practice separately to Blanchards Law and is regulated in Spain having been accredited by the Bar Association in Seville, no 15152.

Norberto is passionate about coffee, the sea and mountains, and rides motorcycles and snowboards. He is passionate about his work and seeks to be empathic while finding solutions.

Robert Goodliffe

Marketing Manager


Robert is a Heathrow Airport Duty Manager turned-Marketer, passionate about connecting with other people and businesses through celebrating our successes, and relaying stories about real lives and how we have changed them (without breaching client confidence of course!). When he’s not cajoling us into producing content for the website, you will find him flying a plane, walking his two dogs or watching the footie.
